Our history

Assessit is the result of a question founder Řistein Magnussen asked himself after ten years as a headhunter; Is there a more effective way to identify superior performers that the traditional interview and psychological testing? The question was forwarded to Ole Iversen who at the time was about to submit his doctoral thesis on superior managerial performance. Together they found the answer – assessment of managerial skills through job simulations.

From the beginning in 2002, Assessit has based its methods and concepts on recognised scientific methods. At the same time we aim to introducing a new and innovative approach that can benefit our Clients. Based upon the latest research in the field we have developed an efficient and effective assessment centre, where managerial competencies are assessed using job simulation exercises. Both in recruitment processes and leadership development this assessment centre has proven to be of great value to our Clients.

We have also developed a learning based leadership network where we match one manager with another so they can exchange experiences, support each other and coach one another with their individual development process. We aim to match individuals who can learn from each other.

Today we have become a full service provider within Human Resource Management, and offer services within recruitment and selection, leadership development, team building, outplacement and organisational development. We have also become a Nordic company with offices in Norway, Sweden and Denmark. We can also offer our services in Finland, Russia and the Baltic region through our co-operative agreement with the Finish company Psycon.
